Fiafia Performance

Last week Thursday we had the best opportunity to do our fiafia performance in front of our school because we couldn't do it at camp. It was nervous at first because like it in front of our WHOLE SCHOOL who wouldn't be nervous? but besides all the worries and nervous feelings we cheered on others. It was my group performance next and we all gave our best and we did we succeed in our performance it was a great experience.

Yr 7&8 Camp

If you didn't know GTS senior syndicate went to camp in week 5 it was a fun experience for us but "back to reality now". I miss camp a lot so why not make a post and take you on my low lights,I miss, and my highlights of camp. Camp Bentzon was the camp we went to and trust me it cold but Peter and Erin Camp Bentzon managements are great people. Hope you have fun if you go to Camp Bentzon (Kawau Island)

The Magic Library

I was doing a quick write and thought of heaps of ways to write about my topic. I started writing knowing times ticking and I can say I'm very proud of this piece of writing even tho it a quick write but it ok the time of writing this was finished so I thought "Lets leave a cliff hanger" and so I did. Stepping into “The Great House”  closing my eyes knowing the rumors that go around saying “Don’t step into the great house because when you step into it...your a goner” I waited for a few min to see if I would be be gone in a blink of an eye...but no I opened my eyes they WIDENED when I saw the scenery books everywhere I jumped in excitement Why? Well I loved books especially adventures book I couldn’t wait to run around seeking for books to read. I peeked over my shoulders and everywhere checking if the coast was clear. I could smell something nice I was sniffing it out and following the scent to a kitchen my stomach growled and the people in the kitchen looked at me as if they were waiting for me? The laughed and some chuckled someone went up to me and I think it was the Head Chief? Well he was walking over handing me a plate of food I thanked him. The food was finished in a nick of a time I love food then another man came and told me “Go look around and come back over here ok?” in a nice and calming voice I listened I saw and isle where a signed said “Adventure Books” I walked into it looking for a exciting book to read, I saw a book I was interested in I was a golden book and it looked amusing to read I grabbed it and went to go over where I was eating I opened it and something flashing came out of it .

The Mountain Pass

The Mountain Pass is a quick write writing Rm 11 always has quick write every Monday morning it now gonna be a Monday morning thing now :). f you don;t know what a quick write is...well you have to write whatever you teacher tells you to write about or shows a picture and that what you going to write about, quick write any type of writing you can do poem etc. Well I hope you enjoy my writing

The Mountain Pass

Time went by and I didn’t even notice that weeks or months just passed through the days as if there was no time at all. Walking past trees and jagged hills had made my eyesight obnoxious. I didn’t even know where I was going. My mind was going through all crazy and complicated pains. I was going INSANE!! My body was hesitating to keep going, my stomach was starving and every slight movement made a step closer to freezing to death. Nothing in my body was communicating with me.

Darkness was appearing in front of my eyes so I decided, since my body is not going to work with me I might as well sleep it off, so I did.

The Next Day I woke up, sore and in a lot of  pain. My back started hurting but it didn't hold back. All of a sudden, I tripped on a rock and hit myself. I fell unconscious. When I woke, I saw stairs in the near distance, between a tall and humongous hills. I smelt a strange scent from a distance.

Something caught my attention. I saw a sign reading “WARNING: DON’T GO FORWARD, DANGER AHEAD”. My mind was full of questions, “should I go ahead”, “ No, I shouldn't, there’s a sign right there saying “Danger”. But there was something about that strange scent that was calling me to go ahead....

This Term Rm 11 was given an Explanation Writing about: "IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT OUR SCHOOL WHAT WOULD IT BE?" 

We all thought of some things and many of us had some really great ideas but we had to choose just ONE thing, so we picked one thing we thought of and started writing about it. I was still thinking of what to do but to be very honest, I didn't want to change a thing about my school, as a student that has been here since yr 0. I loved it the way it was everything was ok. Changing GTS

Title:

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT OUR SCHOOL WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Introduction:

Firstly If I could change one thing about Glen Taylor School it would be changing the play area for
the senior syndicate around
our school like the netball court, park etc

Reason 2:

I know some students think it’s boring so why not upgrade it? Upgrade it into something more
cooler and also safer like make the playground because its old and make it more usable so like
put swings, a flying fox,monkey bars,
and also a slide to make it more steeper just to make the students feel chills going down their
backs while they are sliding down.

Reason 3:

Also for the students can have fun during lunch time/morning tea and so they don’t get hurt or bored.
But most importantly is we should be more grateful for what we have right now at our school because
there no other schools that have a swimming pool, basketball court or even a park all they have is a field
or even worse!.

This is the ONE thing i would change about GTS (Glen Taylor School).

You Get Stuck In An Elevator With....Writing

You Get Stuck In An Elevator WIth…..The Most 2 Annoying People In The World

Characters: Me (Miracle), Tiria, Lesieli, Darius, David, Lucky

Intro:Once again at the most famous but boring hotels ever “Heartland Hotel” it wasn’t that boring because my friends were there, tiria and Lesieli are the bestest friends ever, on the other hand, there are three most annoying boys that worked there, their names were David, Lucky, and Darius but out of all of them the most annoying one was Darius, David.

Build Up: When I was on my shift  David and lucky worked on the same shift as me and tiria. Tiria and I got called up to a room to clean but unfortunately, Darius and David were in the elevator too, I and tiria got confused why they were in there.

Problem: But then suddenly the elevator stopped and the lights went out it was so loud it sounded like BAM!!! we all got shocked and scared. When everything happened I was thinking why did I get stuck in the elevator with the most two annoying people why did it had to be those two then I said out loud “Why why god why” then they all got confused then tiria said “What do you mean miracle” I suddenly said “Oops I said that out to loud nvm “ when I got stucked on the elevator with those to knuckle heads and tiria I thought to myself I’m going to differently die alone and I even said that out loud too Everyone said “Yep you are” I thought that they were joking but Tiria said “You actually are”

Resolution:When the elevator stopped I was looking around seeing if there was any way out I had to find a way out quick while I was looking around I thought of how Lesieli and Lucky was doing and hoping where we are because their shift is starting when I was thinking I saw lights coming back on I was thinking that might be them helping us.

But suddenly it wasn’t them tiria had a flashlight because the elevator was dark and she forgot that she had one. We all were talking for hours and hours when we all were talking tiria stayed quite maybe because she was tired or something, I saw everyone getting tired so I told then go sleep then they all said ok they were falling asleep I was on guard just in case anyone comes It was getting late I thought it would be ok for me to go sleep so I did.

End:*Everyone Sleeping* I woke up and saw the time 10:00pm I heard footsteps coming so I woke up everyone I told them what I heard, OMG I am so blind I just saw a door on the top to go on the top of the elevator everyone was so frustrated at me I was like “I’m Sorry” they everyone else said “No time for apologies let get out of here” SO we did Tiria saw ladder going up to a floor we all climbed  it.

Atlast we were free everyone rushed down stairs to see if anyone is here someone was there it was lesieli and Lucky we were all happy to see them mostly me and tiria was happy me darius david and tiria was so hungry the first question we asked them “Can we go get something to eat” to lucky and that they were the goodest friend I ever had they already brought food because they thought that me and the rest was still here we were but I told them the full story while we were eating after that me and the rest was also tired we were all too tired to drive we were scared that we might fall asleep on the road so that why we asked lesieli to drive us to our house.

During Term 2 Miss Tupou Shared A Document Of Choices Of Narrative Starts Off Sentences Out Off All Of Them I Picked (You Get Stuck In An Elevator With), Why I Chose This One Was I Had A Good Idea Of What I'm Going To Add To This Start Of And I Think It Turned Out Great. After Writing We Had A Sharing Circle We Only Shared Our Intros Because Some Of Them Are To Long Like Mine After Sharing In Our Circle. I Hope You Enjoy Reading Because I Enjoyed Writing This Story.

Playdough Making

Last Week Friday during the middle block we made playdough It was a lot of fun but really tiring because there was mixing then when the play dough comes together it really really hard to mix but also fun. Room 11 went into 3 people each for groups my groups was Lucky and Tiria My groups followed Miss Tupou Instructions instructions that Miss Tupou told us to do we had other people from different classes with us to after that we could make another playdough I made a black one because it was fun to make playdough I didn't really come together.Well Hope you have fun making this and make sure to have fun while making it.
